Instrumentation

Our lab is equipped with various EPR spectrometers, allowing us to perform a wide range of pulsed, continuous wave and transient EPR experiments at S- (3 GHz), X- (9.5 GHz), Q- (35 GHz) and W-band (94 GHz). All spectrometers can operate at cryogenic temperatures (Temperature range 5 - 300 K).

Bruker Elexsys E680 S/W-band

Capabilities:

  • pulsed and cw (continuous wave)
  • S-band and W-band
  • double resonance (ENDOR, Electron Nurclear Double Resonance, and ELDOR, Electron-Electron Double Resonance)
  • S-band EDMR  (Electrically Detected Magnetic Resonance)
  • Nd:YAG Laser excitation (1064, 532, 355 nm)

Bruker Elexsys E680 X/W-band

Capabilities:

  • pulsed and cw
  • S-band and W-band
  • double resonance (ENDOR and ELDOR)
  • X- and W-band EDMR
  • cw laser excitation (several wavelengths)

Bruker Elexsys E580 X/Q-band

Capabilities:

  • pulsed and cw
  • X-band and Q-band
  • double resonance (ENDOR and ELDOR)
  • X- and Q-band EDMR
  • SuperHiQ-Resonator for high sensitivity cw
  • Nd:YAG Laser excitation with OPO (410 to 700 nm)
