Matteo Russo and Anton Trenczek join the team!

Matteo arrived at the beginning of March and is now officially supported as a visiting scientist from the TRR 227 consortium (thank you for the support!). Matteo holds a BSc and MSc in physics from Sapienza University of Rome. For his MSc thesis he studied the local structure of two different classes of zirconium-based superconductors as a function of temperature using X-ray Absorption Spectroscopy techniques. Anton is joining us as the first MSc student of the group. He grew up in Berlin and completed his BSc in physics at the FU. Welcome Matteo and Anton and let's have fun building and measuring!

Our proposal to join the TRR 227 was funded!

As of 01.01.2024, we will be part of the TRR 227 on Ultrafast Spin Dynamics . Our project will focus on the exciton structure and dynamics in two-dimensional magnets and spintronic heterostructures. Looking forward to start with this exciting research!

Trideep Kawde joins the group with a TRR 227 3-months scholarship as of May 1st

Trideep arrived at the beginning of May and started a 3-months internship kindly supported by the TRR 227 consortium. Trideep completed his BSc in engineering physics at IIT Dehli and holds an MSc in photonics from Jena. There he worked on THz generation from laser induced plasma in the group of Prof. Paulus. Welcome Trideep and all the very best!
