Science Talks and Events at the Department of Physics
Scientific Events
In colloquia, lectures, and talks we provide insights into current physics research. Both the experts as well as the broader public interested in physics participates in these events. We also discuss possible applications of our research inspiring to look into the future.
Networking Event Friday Light Talks
The Friday Light Talks are an initiative for postdocs, PhD students and Master's students to promote networking, discussion and the exchange of ideas in an informal setting. Each event includes a 20-30 minute academic talk by a PhD student or postdoctoral researcher, followed by a discussion and a relaxed get-together with drinks.
Events for the general public
We occasionally open our lecture halls and laboratories to the general public, e.g. for the Long Night of Science. During it, anyone who wants to study physics, has already studied it, or is simply enthusiastic about science can get in touch with professors, students, and researchers.
