ZEDAT is changing the allowed email attachments on rather short notice. Starting this Friday (June 5th) mails with attachments in old Microsoft office formats

• .doc, .dot, .docm, .dotm,
• .xla, .xls, .xlt, .xlsb, .xlsm, .xltm, .xlam, 
• .ppt, .pptm, .potm, .ppsm, .ppam, .ppa 

will no longer be delivered, but returned to the sender with a warning.

This change affects all Mails that are handled by the ZEDAT mail servers, including

• @fu-berlin.de
• @zedat.fu-berlin.de 
• @physik.fu-berlin.de 

Attachments of all other formats, that are not yet disallowed, will not be affected. We recommend using Libreoffice formats such as .odt, .ods, und .odt, newer Microsoft Office formats like .docs, or .pdf as alternatives.
