The backing storage of /net/opt on the Linux hosts died today. Although we moved to the backup, that was standing by, right away, cluster jobs using /net/opt/ (e.g. through the Gromacs or Python module) and open Mathematica and Matlab sessions on desktops will be affected and need to be restarted.

We are working on resolving the effects of the outage on the cluster.

Update (25.05.): After reestablishing access to /net/opt on affected cluster nodes yesterday, the few affected desktop machines should be able to access it again as well.
