"How does the new come into the world?" asks an interdisciplinary symposium organized by the Berlin Cluster of Excellence MATH +, the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science and the Women's Representative of the Freie Universität Berlin.
From a mathematical, physical, scientific-theoretical and -historical perspective, the conference sheds light on the significance of Noether to the present day. In doing so, she also takes into account discrimination mechanisms that confronted Emmy Noether as a woman of Jewish descent in the German science system.
Different event formats will take place from 03.-05.06. Registration and further information under:www.noetherkonferenz2019.de
