Tomography with Single Electrons - New Chances for Quantum Information Technologies
An international team of theoretical physicists with Professor Piet Brouwer from Freie Universität Berlin demonstrated how individual, electronic excitations can be used in the development of quantum information technologies.
News from Nov 29, 2019
The scientists have shown that a wide-band tomography of single-particle distributions is possible using energy-time filtering and that the Wigner representation of the mixed-state density matrix can be reconstructed for solitary electrons emitted by an on-demand single-electron source.
The research findings have been published in the journal Nature Communications.
