Michael Rudolph receives the Ernst Prize from the German Chemical Society (GDCh)
Michael Rudolph, a doctoral student in the group of Prof. Dr. Benesh Joseph, was awarded the Ernst Prize by the German Chemical Society (GDCh) for his outstanding publication.
News from Sep 26, 2024
Michael Rudolph received the 2024 Ernst Award during a ceremonial event at the annual meeting of the German Chemical Society (GDCh) at the University of Rostock.
The GDCh's Magnetic Resonance Division (FGMR) honors the young scientist's achievements in developing and applying new approaches in pulsed electron spin resonance spectroscopy to study the conformational equilibrium in membrane protein complexes with spatiotemporal resolution.
About the Award
In honor of Nobel laureate Richard R. Ernst and his significant contributions to the application of magnetic resonance in solutions, solids, and imaging, the FGMR presents the Ernst Award for outstanding publications by young scientists. The award includes a certificate and a prize of 500 euros.
About Prof. Dr. Benesh Joseph's Research Group
Prof. Dr. Joseph's research group focuses on electron spin resonance (ESR) spectroscopy and membrane transporter biophysics. They investigate the functional mechanisms of membrane-embedded heterooligomeric macromolecular protein complexes in both in vitro and in situ environments.
