Professor of Physics Klaus Möbius receives a prestigious Russian award for outstanding scientific achievements in the field of chemical and biochemical physics.

The Medal in the Memory of Academician N. M. Emanuel is awarded annually to Russian and international researchers by the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Lomonosov Moscow State University .

Klaus Möbius, who has researched and taught at the Department of Physics at Freie Universität Berlin since 1971, will be honored on October 1, 2019, at a ceremony at the Emanuel Institute for Biochemical Physics in Moscow. He will deliver a lecture entitled "High-field EPR studies of protein/matrix hydrogen-bond interactions: mechanisms for Life without Water?” in which he will report on his scientific findings of the last decades.
