Transferring content from word documents or web pages into a CMS folder or document.
If you copy content from a word document the CMS editor automatically links all pictures to the local hard drive (file://....) ! This is why these pictures will not be displayed on the page in CMS.
Solution: you need to import pictures into CMS as usual via Datei→Datei importieren....into a resource folder img and link it to the CMS document.
If you transfer the content of web pages into CMS per copy/paste the pictures will be linked to the external site. If this link breaks, then the pictures will disappear. Therefore you should also import them manually into CMS and link them internally.
External links (http://www......) will be taken over.
When data is transferred by copy/paste, the CMS editor automatically checks the HTML-code for formal correctness. This measn that the resulting display may not be a 1:1 copy of the original. However, in our experience the transfer by copy/paste renders satisfactory results.
Under the FAQ heading "Wie kann ich strukturierte Daten ins CMS importieren (CSV-Datei)?" on the CeDiS-site you will find instructions on how to import .csv files into CMS.
