It is good practice to create resource folders (template "Ressourcen-Ordner") as central repositories for images (img) and documents (docs).
In order to help you to create a new web presence for your workgroup, we have designed an example site which can be easily adjusted to the needs of each individual group. You will find it in CMS under (en)/einrichtungen/ag/ag-beispiel zu finden. (en) refers to the English version of the pages.
The template Einbindung externer Dienste has been provided in order to embed external sites such as google maps or facebook.
Sometimes the content of the page requires a wider page than usual. The template for standard folders ("Standard-Ordner") enables editors to adjust the width and layout of the page.
How can you extract the staff list from the People database of the physics department and integrate it into CMS?
When you want to delete a document or folder you will see an error message informing you that links to this element exist that prevent its deletion.

For publishing news and dates on your webpages, you need to create appropriate links in your start folder ("Startseiten-Ordner").
I would like try out something new in CMS and don't know yet how this will work? How can I test it?
In order to make boxes (news, dates, text and links) visible, you need to adjust the configuration settings of the startpage folder.
For presenting an overview of various workgroups or projects, the "Vorgestellt-Box" is the appropriate template.
Under "EXTRAS" → "Versionen anzeigen" you will find a backup of all old versions of this document/folder.
