(bio)Nanotransporters: Theoretical biophysics and bioinformatics methods

Lecturer: Ana-Nicoleta Bondar
Language: English
Period: 16.04.2018 - 16.07.2018
Appointments:

Mo 12:00-14:00
Room 1.1.16 (FB-Raum, Arnimallee 14)

Exercise:

Mo 14:00-16:00 in room E1 (1.1.26)

Description:

The lecture introduces transport phenomena and transporters at the nano-scale in biological systems. The perspective is that of theoretical biophysics and bioinformatics. Topics that will be discussed include water dynamics, ions in solution, ion transport and ion transporters, ion selectivity, voltage gating.

The lecture is accompanied by an exercise class that will include practical computer work on ion transporters and discussions of this work.
