This year's Klung Wilhelmy Science Award in Physics honors Prof. Dr. Titus Neupert (University of Zurich) for his contributions to the theoretical prediction of novel "topological" phases of matter, in particular fractional Chern insulators and higher-order topological insulators.

At the award ceremony, Prof. Dr. Titus Neupert will give a lecture on "Insulators that conduct electricity perfectly".

The Klung Wilhelmy Science Prize honors leading young researchers and is presented under the patronage of the German Federal Minister for Education and Research. It is awarded in cooperation between the Otto Klung Foundation at Freie Universität Berlin and the Dr. Wilhelmy Foundation. In alternating years it goes to a chemist or a physicist respectively.

Registration

The award ceremony is a public event and open for studends, researchers, university's staff and guests.
