Lea Bogner studied chemistry, earned a PhD in physics at the Freie Universität and the Fritz Haber Institute of the Max Planck Society. She then joined Peppermint VenturePartners, a healthcare-focused venture capital company, and worked as a project manager and investment analyst.

Today, she works for PVP Advisors, a management consultancy for knowledge-intensive technology start-ups that emerged from Peppermint VenturePartners, at the interface between science and application in the external management of the Helmholtz Validation Fund.

Lea Bogner will talk about her pathway as a student and doctoral student with a child. She will also explain what the external validation fund management does.

My advice to future physicists (and parents)

In some situations, you don't have to and can't do everything on your own. It is important to be able to seek and accept help and support.
