Our group is growing again!

Lotte Polling is the new Master student of the group. She is a student assistant in the AG Reich where she works with scattering type near field optical microscopy (s-SNOM) to study van der Waals materials. In our group she will build a beam line to a reference spectrometer and program a GUI to improve the signal-to-noise of our setup using shot-to-shot referencing.

As part of her Bachelor thesis Vera Taube will set up a beam stabilisation unit to ensure higher stability and longer operational durations of our white light generation.

Last but not last Jasper Schwering joins the group as our new student assistant. He previously completed an internship with Niclas Müller, the new Emmy Noether group leader in the physics department, where he worked on the development of a second-harmonic generation microscope to characterize 2D materials.
