Iranian Student of Freie Universität receives DAAD Prize for international students for outstanding achievements

Miad Mansouri, a physics student at Freie Universität Berlin, has been awarded one of this year's DAAD prizes for outstanding foreign students at German universities.

Miad Mansouri was awarded 1,000 euros for his excellent achievements in the Physics bachelor's program as well as for his extraordinary social commitment. The student volunteered as an interpreter in refugee shelters and as a mentor in the Welcome@FUBerlin program of Freie Universität. The prize was announced on July 17, 2020, during the graduation ceremony of the Department of Physics; this year the event was held digitally.
