On Monday afternoon, 22.09.2025, Federico presented an excerpt of his thesis to the examining committee, chaired by Prof. Dr. C. Koch, in front of a large audience of members from various research groups and other guests. With his research, he provided new insights into the complex molecular mechanism of cytochrome c oxidase, an essential enzyme within the respiratory chain, using various infrared spectroscopic methods. During the discussion following his superb presentation, Federico was able to answer both general and detailed questions, impressing with his outstanding knowledge.

Besides his scientific expertise, Federico is also a remarkable person in social terms, and he has significantly shaped the positive dynamics within our working group.
