Pathways in Physics: Johann Egger - Physicist as Project Manager for Photovoltaics
Johann Egger studied physics at the Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main and at the Free University. During the ERASMUS year at the Instituto Superior Técnico in Lisbon, he refined his knowledge of solar cells from the more practical perspective of a technical university and acquired Portuguese language skills.
With a master's degree from Freie Universität, Johann Egger joined the Berlin-based company securenergy where he now works as a project manager coordinating large-scale photovoltaic projects.
Johann Egger will not only talk about his studies and his work for a sustainable economy but also about his artistic vein and admiration for nature.

About "Pathways in Physics"
In the online talk series for students of physics, different speakers will talk about their own pathway in physics: why they became physicists, how they recognized what their interests in physics were and how they went about getting positions in research and industry. We invite speakers from the Department of Physics, different research institutions as well as from various industries.
