Susanne Pudollek studied at our department and received her doctorate in the research group of Professor Dr. Robert Bittl. She then worked as a project manager for a Berlin-based engineering company (DSR Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH) specializing in project management and consulting for operation and dismantling of nuclear facilities.
Since March 2019, Dr. Susanne Pudollek heads the section unit “inventory and logistics” at the Swiss National Cooperative for the Disposal of Radioactive Waste (Nagra).
At "Pathways in Physics" Susanne Pudollek will talk about her professional path from research activities at Freie Universität into radiation protection for safe use and disposal of radioactive materials.
Milestones
- Doctorate in experimental physics at AG Bittl (FU Berlin)
- Starting the industry career as project manager at DSR Ingenieurgesellschaft including training in nuclear physics and radiation protection
→ With time taking charge of independent projects and technical responsibility for specialized areas - Move to Nagra as section head “inventory & logistics”, assuming technical responsibility as well as for personnel

We invite speakers from the Department of Physics, different research institutions as well as from various industries.
